Thom Schaefer is a key presenter at the upcoming Tournaments for Teachers conference in San Rafael September 27 - 28.
San Francisco native Thom Schaefer is the pedagogical dean of faculty at the Shining Mountain Waldorf School, a K-12 school in Boulder, CO. He teaches English, history and drama in the high school. He is a former class teacher and has taken a class through grades 1-8. Thom is an accomplished member of many Waldorf teacher training programs across the U.S. including Rudolf Steiner College in Fair Oaks, CA, Sunbridge College in New York, the Rudolf Steiner Centre in Toronto and Gradalis in California and Colorado. Thom was a public school principal in Cupertino, CA. Thom’s grandfather built his own house in 1913 in the Bayview. Thom grew up in the Sunset and West Portal and learned how to ride his bike on 35th Avenue between Wawona and Yorba. For the past eight years, he has been involved in a peace Olympics project set in the Middle East called All In Peace.
