IN SAN FRANCISCO
Valerie Baadh offers Saturday morning classes of Movement Adventures of Uffe the Gnome accompanied by KC Jiang on harmonica and Irish flute. Uffe* (pronounced "Oofa") was a character developed for the first all-school movement circus of San Francisco Waldorf School in 1996 with over 200 children performing the roles of giants, elves, trees, leaves, stones, jugglers, Pegasus, flowers, royals, and gnomes.
In our studio classes we bring Uffe’s stories to life through musical movement as a means to practice our dancing, tumbling and acrobatics as well as listening, taking turns and working together in a small but social setting.
2008 Fall Adventures of Uffe the Gnome October 11 - December 20. Enrollment is still open for this class, and the class fee will be pro-rated for those joining about October 11. Please register online with our "deposit for class", or contact our office by phone or email to enroll.
Due to water damage at 59 Grand View on October 23, 2008, this class has temporarily relocated to the lovely and large Mary Sano Dance Studio, 245 5th Street #314 between Folsom and Howard Streets. Parking is easy and the location easily accessible by public transportation.
