Children and their caregivers are warmly welcome to play and snack after our classes in the wonderful PlayGarden downstairs (and down Acme Alley) from our Grand View Studio. Come meet the chickens, dig in the sand, rock in the teeter-totter, and bask in the warm (usually!) sunshine on our child-size and adult-scaled backyard seating.
During our Saturday and afternoon classes, parents are welcome to relax either out in the PlayGarden, or indoors by the warm fireplace on our cozy couch. A small kitchen is available to make a cup of tea while you wait.
The 2008 Fall series of Mommy and Me in San Francisco is closed. Enrollment is open for our 2009 Winter series on Fridays, and 2009 Spring series on Wednesdays and Friday.
Due to water damage at 59 Grand View on October 23, 2008, this class has temporarily relocated to the lovely and large Mary Sano Dance Studio, 245 5th Street #314 between Folsom and Howard Streets. Parking is very easy and the location easily accessible by public transportation.
Valerie and Amelia Romano offer two 3-morning camps for young children ages 3.75- 6, featuring our hour-long musical Movement Adventures of Uffe the Gnome (Uffe and the Tree of Light) with live harp. Baking, healthy snack and hot lunch, singing, and imaginitive group play comprise our days. Amelia, a graduate of SFWS and now a junior at UCBerkeley, brings her beautiful harp to play for us and assist in all activities. This year, our camp takes place at the Nursery of San Francisco Waldorf School, at 3105 Sacramento Street, across from the SF Public Library near Baker Street.
