Agile Aging® Workshop for Caregivers and Activity Leaders with Valerie Baadh Garrett and Cathy Kleinhenz, P. T. are offered as stand-alone programs and as an introduction for future Agile Aging® instructors.  This course will be pre-approved for .8 CEUs for Activity Leaders.

• Physical and psycho-social aspects of aging

• Risk factors for falls among the elderly

• An introduction to fall risk assessments

• An introduction to aspects of balance and gait that affect the elderly and lead to risk of falling

• An introduction to active imagery and its benefits

• An introduction to somatic mind-body connections and exercises

• Dynamic movement activities and exercises that help prevent falls and reduce fear of falling
